1. A Magnet can pull paper clips to it by exerting a force of attraction.
2. A magnet can only attract objects that contain iron.
3. Name two objects that have iron and two objects that do not have iron: Paper Clips and the White board do / Alluminum foil and pennies do not.
4. A rock that contains iron and is magnetic is a lodestone.
5. The space around the magnet in which the magnetic force can be felt is called the magnetic field.
6. The magnet is strongest at its ends.
7. The ends of the magnet are called the magnetic poles.
8. If you put two magnets together which ends will attract and which ends will push away from each other? North and North or South and South ends would push away while the opposite sides will attract.
9. Name one way we use magnets as a tool to help us: Compass.
10. A compass' arrow will always land on North.
